Be part of the Future - Help Raise the Roof!!

A message from Marcos Kaseman, Director.

"I want to thank you and all previous Volunteers that have contributed your time, money and support for the Angelitos and their families in my Foundation Angeles de Medellin.

THE FUTURE IS NOW, and I am asking your help.  At the present time I am spending 300,000 pesos per month in rent and as you know every day the office is extremely dirty from the dust and dirt from the area.  Over the past years the Angeles Program has grown and grown again due to so many wonderful Volunteers from all over the world, like you.

I would like to purchase the building that we are presently in, renovate it, hire 2 excellent Colombian persons to help me take the Foundation to the next level.

To purchase the building I am trying to raise 60,000,000 pesos within 60 days, and I AM ASKING FOR YOUR HELP.

Please share this post with your family, friends and anyone you think might want to contribute to an incredible cause, helping Displaced and impoverished Colombian families.

If all the Volunteers and people that have touched the community that have worked in the Foundation just in the past 2-3 years contribute something I can achieve my goal to buy, renovate, and hire new people to bring more programs to everyone.

OK, what do I want to do in the future after we are completely renovated and the staff is on board.

1.  Start a program for young unwed girls and women between the ages of 13 and 25, whereas they will learn computers, health care for their children, sex education, and begin to learn about business and actually form a business with these young ladies to advance their lives and look ahead to their future and give themselves and their children a better life.

2.  A Dental Program where we will have a full time hygienist and possibly a dental clinic for the people in the mountains.

3.  Daily classes in computers, English and math for students and adults to improve their education.

4.  Form a Scholarship program to enable the brightest a chance to go to the University and change their lives.

5.  A program for young boys/men between 16 and 24 to learn a trade (i.e. woodworking) and formulate a business plan where we will work with business and the government to begin to build decent housing for the impoverished in the mountains.  NO MORE LIVING AND SLEEPING ON DIRT FLOORS FOR ANYONE.

6.  A library and a computer center with the latest information and systems to help the people keep up their knowledge in our electronic world.

I could go on and on but as you know as a previous volunteer WHAT we do, WHY we do it and WHY I need you assistance.

SHARE IT WITH EVERYONE AND  HELP ME HELP THE LITTLE ANGELES IN OUR FOUNDATION.

WITH TREMENDOUS APPRECIATION  FOR YOUR SUPPORT.

Sincerely,

New Year, New Resolution to Volunteer? Then Watch This!

In December 2013 the annual Christmas Party was held for the community of Regalo de Dios, Medellin, Colombia by Foundation Angels of Medellin.

Tom, a volunteer that joined us from USA, interviewed many of the 70 global volunteers that participated in the celebration and party giving out toys, clothing, food to the local people. He also was able to speak to the community in this interview to ask them how it felt to receive support at this special time of year.

New year resolution to volunteer? Then definitely watch this!!
